Patient Advocate

Patient Advocates

It is our goal at UCLA Health to create a welcoming, healing, caring, safe and professional environment for our patients, their families, visitors and each other. Patient Advocates are available to our patients, families and visitors. Issues may include, but are not limited to, quality of care, staff interactions, access to care and general assistance and information.

Our team helps to:

  1. Facilitate communication between patients, their family and their care providers.
  2. Rebuild trust between patients, their family and our care teams.

In order to make the process smoother, we recommend familiarizing yourself with our complaint process prior to contacting us, so that you have all of the required information ready.

Patient and Family Advisory Councils

UCLA Health is committed to people-centered care. Our partnership with patients and families ensures that the patient voice is embedded in every aspect of our delivery of care.

Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) bring together patients, family, staff and clinicians to enhance the experience for all people, evaluate strategies and improve quality and safety outcomes. UCLA Health PFAC members are a visible and valued part of our care team.
